Warlords is at once extremely exciting because we're getting more actual lore (we're not forgotten!) and some in-game plot attention and a little frightening because I'm sure at least some of our guild lore's going to get knocked

Being in 2 RP guilds that both began in 2005, there's a lot of lore. Some of it has faded out as players have come and gone, but there's a bit of shared headcannon about racial stuff for our characters to bounce back and forth on, a lot of
realm history to mine, and evolving plots.
My main guild used to be a unit of the Stormwind Army, working in the Keep and reporting to the Prince's or the King's advisors, running IC trials for other guilds, guard patrols in the city and surrounding shires, etc. over time, due to
various RP things IC and OOC the story changed, and now the guild is an independent merc unit, shamed and barred from the military by enemies, but still striving to be good guys and serve the Alliance.
The other guild, good friends of the military unit, are freelance storytelling heroes. A bit broader range, but they're always looking for a good story, and for handling problems before they become major raid bosses. Though they go after the
raid bosses, too.Playing on Shadow Council, many of us participate on rp-haven.com, a site for posting stories, promoting events, sharing art, and discussing RP and game things. So there's a bit of shared lore around the realm, though we also
have the concept of "RP bubbles" as everyone has their own take on various storylines.
I won't be playing much this weekend, in fact, I'm not sure if I'll be raiding! But I have a few personal creative projects I'd love to work on. And I'm sure I'll watch a bit of the Olympic Games, too.I'm really anxious to

I got to do some tanking in Heroic Siege this week - nothing major, just offtanking on Dark Shaman - and it was pretty fun all around. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy tanking in raids. It was fun to get to see the Warrior 2 piece Tier 16 tanking
bonus in action in a current raid at the cutting edge of content, instead of in an LFR or using it to solo Cataclysm raids. It's a very solid set bonus, and I'm going to write more about it in the future - basically, I think it should be
baked into the baseline Shield Block and Shield Barrier abilities, or perhaps be baked into Shield Slam in some way (so that, for ten seconds after a successful Shield Slam, you heal a percentage of your Shield Barrier absorb or Shield Block damage
prevented, as one possible example) - but I'm not quite ready to write about that yet.
Thing is, I don't think you're the one to give it to him, because it's not your responsibility. Your responsibility is to be raid-lead, to ensure the raid goes smoothly and that you are the last word in raid composition and tactics. If
he's messing with raids after appointing you, buy gold on wow,he's violating your role. Do talk to him, tell him how he's impacting the guild, and then leave if he doesn't do an immediate 180 on his behavior.
He likely won't, but at least you've put your case in the open for him. Don't make a big fuss about it in guild chat, but answer every single question you get from other guildies honestly. Tell them if they ask, and form a new guild with
you, your co-raid-lead, or somebody else in charge that you can work with. The game isn't the hot new thing any more, it isn't the purview of ultra-caffeinated teens and the last word in MMO's any more. It's likely most of your
raiders are at least in their twenties and have jobs, social lives and families who need their attention. Asking more than a couple nights a week for them to obligate themselves to play a game is absurd.Frankly, in my guild, if he were GM, I
would've quit and taken as many people as I could with me. As I am co-gm, I don't have to worry about that, but if he were a valuable raider acting that way, I'd give him the boot and make an alt to fill in his role myself if I had to,
because that kind of behavior is inexcusable from anyone.
If enough people from a guild submit tickets asking for a guild leader to be removed and someone else promoted in their place, would GMs do it?
